I’ve been expressing myself through writing since I learned how to write.

You can ask my mom about the horror she experienced when she tried to throw out the stack of short stories I wrote as a child. Thankfully, I’ve had phenomenal mentors who have helped me hone my craft and find my voice.

Part of my writing has always been political. That’s because I believe politics can positively contribute to our shared life together, but only if we speak up. I’ve learned how to do just that and find a lot of joy in saying the things that need to be said in order to bring attention to important issues in our community.
